The Appalachian Underground Corrosion Short Course's Angela Durham Award was established to honor Angela Durham, the longtime AUCSC Secretary/Treasurer who retired in 2007. The purpose of the award is to recognize an individual for outstanding contributions to the Short Course.

COLONEL GEORGE C. COX OUTSTANDING AWARD
The AUCSC's Colonel George C. Cox Outstanding Award is given in recognition of an individual's public contributions to underground corrosion engineering. Such contributions might consist of a plan, design, program, development, or improvement of a method, apparatus, or material by which the control of underground corrosion is facilitated or made economical. The Award is named for Colonel George C. Cox, a pioneer in the development of AUCSC and in underground corrosion work.
